What if everything you knew about your past was wrong? What if who you thought you were was all a lie?
In CHASING GHOSTS Dagger comes face-to-face with his past in the form of an intruder who first wants to hire him, then tries to kill him. What prompted this response? The answer lies in a series of numbers which triggers Dagger’s memory and leads him to a remote city … one mile below the surface, technologically advanced yet abandoned. Or is it? (Lee Driver is the pseudonym of S.D. Tooley)
Knowing all roads eventually lead back to BettaTec, a shadow corporation Dagger used to work for, he does all he can to keep his partner out of danger. But Sara has her ways and knowing Dagger, he will risk everything, even his life, to destroy BettaTec. Sara is the only one who can keep BettaTec from destroying him.

Another good one from Driver. This one starts with an attack on Dagger in his home. He killed the guy attacking him but has no idea who he is or why he attacked.
Who the guy is Dagger has no clue. He was standing in the living room when Dagger got out of the shower. He said he needed Daggers services and then attacked him. He picked Dagger up and threw him across the room. A dagger who is 6'0" and weighs around 190 pounds. Pretty good for a guy who looks like a waif and weighs about 150 pounds soaking wet.
Seems the guy was able to jump the gate. Not something anyone could do. Its all very strange to Dagger, Sara and Skizzy.
Its decided that Skizzy and Simon, two Vietnam vets, will get rid of the body. They take it to a quarry where the body begins to make noise. Its thrown over the ledge and explodes. Another very strange thing that no one has an answer for.
So begins another damned fine read by Driver.
This one has Dagger, Sara, Skizzy, Simon, Det. Padre Martinez, Padre's boss, a Catholic Cardinal, a fight in a hotel involving Sara, a dead body in that same hotel, another exploding body, Einstein the McCaw, a capsule imbedded in Daggers neck, Dr. Adkins, a man named Paul Demko, his twin, death, murder, a Dagger who heads to Nebraska, an underground compound, a Sara who goes to aid Dagger, a wounded Dagger and Dagger who's trying to figure out his past.
Five Stars.

Chasing Ghosts Chase Dagger Series Book 4 eBook Lee Driver Reviews
This was different then the others, kept trying to figure out what was going on. While reading, I felt i was part of the story, i could picture everything in my mind. Lee Driver's description's in the book were phenomenal.
Excellent characters and plot.
Love this series. This one allows you to read about Daggers past. It just adds more to the mystery of the man. It is another great read.
these are perfect to read, liked the characters and actions galore, You write it I'll read it, Got the first one and couldn't wait to read the rest. love it
A bit far out but a good story. The sharpshooter is more believable than the grand conspiracy portion of the story. All things considered I liked the book
This volume in the series of Chase Dagger and Sara Morningsky seems like it leans more toward science fiction than fantasy and suspense than the others, and for that reason I only give it four stars since I am really not a big fan of that type of writing. Also, the sentences seem sort of choppy, especially toward the first third to half of the book; not the usual narrative style that I have come to expect from Lee Driver. It is almost like someone else wrote it, and maybe forgot to proofread in places as here and there a word is missing. Also, I must admit I am having a bit of a hard time with the way Sara is evolving away from her sweet self; please don't turn her into a Lara Croft! But despite my criticisms, I still liked the book and the series as a whole, like the supporting characters, and recommend it (and I like the cover of the book as well!)
The Chase Dagger Mysteries by Lee Driver is an odd mystery series that intrigues me.
In "The Good Die Twice", Native American Sara is a shape-shifter (hawk/wolf) who helps Private Investigator (P.I.) Chase Dagger solve crimes. Yes, it sounds weird--but it works for me. Although Sara and Chase are just P.I. partners, they live in Sara's house with Chase's pet scarlet macaw named Einstein who has a photographic memory. They have a chase (no pun intended) relationship that I like; the TV series "Blue Moon" was ruined for me when P.I.s Addison and Maddy got romantically involved.
The second book, "Full Moon-Bloody Moon", finds Sara and Chase pursuing another shape-shifter who is the bad guy in this story. Sara makes a life-changing decision after she understands she could have gone rogue instead of the better path she chose.
In "The Unseen", Sara has gained more personal confidence (as she was raised very protectively by her grandmother on a reservation) and their investigation centers on an invisibility cloak. We find out a little more about Chase's secret military organization past.
Further information about Chase's past and his association with Sara is revealed in "Chasing Ghosts."
The last book, so far, is "Fatal Storm." This book is an anomaly in the series because Sara's shape shifting abilities and Chase's fighting talents take a back seat while they validate a Paranormal Investigation Team that is investigating a haunted house and Chase's old girlfriend gets caught up in a time warp.
